The holiday season is a time to be extra thankful for the things that we have and the people in our lives. Especially with it being COVID-19 times, it’s important to sit back and reflect on what and who makes you happiest. It’s easy to slip into the daily grind of schoolwork or your job and lose sight of the more important things in life. Keeping a gratitude journal is a fun and easy way to stay on track. Here are a few journals to stay thankful:

Even Happier, A Gratitude Journal for Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment by Tal Ben-Shahar

Even Happier is a gratitude journal for someone who wants to dive deep into the world of bettering yourself and appreciating all things life has to offer. Even Happier is a journal written by Tal Ben-Shahar using the principles of psychology he used when teaching a class at Harvard University. Every week, the user is given unique prompts in order to reflect on how their life is and how they want to continue to grow. This book includes exclusive insights from philosophers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and more. It is also a journal extension of Tal Ben-Shahar’s New York Times bestselling book, Happier.

Tiny Buddha’s Gratitude Journal by Lori Deschene

When someone hears the word Buddha, hopefully words that come to mind are peaceful, enlightening, and relaxed. Tiny Buddha’s Gratitude Journal is unique in that every day, the reader is prompted with a thought-provoking question to keep their mind reeling about what they have to be thankful for. They can reflect on their answer and come to peace with that day and their gratitude for it. This journal also includes coloring pages sprinkled in the pages that are meant to relax the user and show them beauty in the ordinary, everything things. Lori Deschene is the author of a full line of Tiny Buddha books, including Tiny Buddha: Simple Wisdom for Life’s Hard Questions and Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself.

The Bro Journal created by Jay Spring and Daniel Castellano

The Bro Journal, a specifically designed gratitude journal for men, was crafted by two men, “bros,” who realized on their journey to mindfulness that there was no journal quite right out there for them. Many gratitude journals can feel repetitive and maybe even a little irrelevant for many men out there. The Bro Journal was created using years of experience and as their website states, “encompasses the perfect blend of mindfulness, self-development, and of course, humor.” This is the perfect journal for a guy who may be stuck in a life rut and needs help feeling more thankful and mindful.
