Have you always wondered how different art forms connect or influence each other? Do you want to learn more about culture through art and world history? Are you also more of a visual person when it comes to learning? Well Wood County District Public Library has just the experience for you.
On October 25th at 11:15 am, Wood County District Public Library is offering a special tour of the Toledo Museum of Art. This tour is hosted by docents Sharon Hanna and Dianne Klein. The tour will be teaching The Book: from ancient cultures to present. You’ll be seeing how artwork features language and writing, along with how books can express artists’ intentions for telling their stories.
You are also invited to sit with them at a reserved table in the Toledo Museum of Art Cafe to mingle and talk about the tour. Lunch is not included with the tour. Registration is also required for both the tour and lunch as the space is limited. Please note the museum does not have an entry fee, but does require you to pay for parking.
If interested please visit the Wood County District Public Library online to register. You may also call (419-352-5050) and or email woodref@wcdlp.org with any questions.
