Michelle Conner is a high school senior who’s determined to find her happily ever after. She is from a small town and lives a very unnoticed and seemingly unimportant life compared to her twin sisters. The mom is cold-hearted towards Michelle, and the dad is out of the picture, so Michelle is just left with her own self and thoughts. However, her job at a local pie shop is an escape for Michelle from her constant isolation. It’s during senior year, however, that a surprise accident occurs that can save Michelle from her bland life and provide her with the happily ever after she’s been searching for. This young adult read is perfect for anybody who wants a fairytale love story getaway while entering the fall mood.

4. Where We Fall

By: Rochelle B. Weinstein

This novel follows the lives of three people. First is Abby Holden, a woman who seems to have anything anyone would every want in life. She is the wife of a well-liked high school football coach and the mother of a teenage girl, Juliana. This perfect life, however, was achieved through betrayal. Second is Ryan Holden, the husband of Abby. While he can win on the football field, he often fails to win in making his wife happy.  Abby’s struggles with depression have hurt the marriage and affected Juliana. But Ryan is determined to build his broken family back up. Third is Lauren Sheppard, a travel photographer who has landed back home in the mountains of North Carolina. This was the place where she experienced heartbreak. These three characters were once inseparable friends, and after 17 years, all three are forced to confront their past loves and past hurts.

If you are struggling to get into the fall mood, I recommend buying one or all of these books. They will help you jump into fall through fall scents, flavors, and stories.

Happy Fall!
