Of course, there are a million romantic comedy movies out there for us to watch – but we’re book readers, and that genre can translate into books quite nicely if done correctly. And there are few better ways to get into the holiday spirit than with a soft, lovey book to warm you up on these cold winter nights. Each book below is a unique holiday rom com that has been handpicked by me to ensure you enjoy a nice, leisurely, and lighthearted read while still feeling the love they emulate this holiday season.

10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston

10 Blind Dates is a young-adult novel about a girl named Sophie who is finally about to get some alone time with her long-term boyfriend, Griffin, while her parents are away for the holiday season. However, Griffin has other plans – and they don’t include Sophie. Devistated, she spends the days leading up to Christmas at her loving grandparents’ house with many extended family members. But they have an interesting plan for her when they find out about her break-up. And all I’ll say is that it involves 10 blind dates. This book is unique because it’s written day-by-day, so you can read some everyday leading up to Christmas! When I read it, I enjoyed waking up every morning and sitting by the tree, reading, until the craziness of my whole house woke up and the Christmas festivities began. It’s certainly a feel-good, quirky teenage novel that will make you smile and laugh while warming your heart.

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

Quite a recent novel, In a Holidaze is an interesting novel about a girl, Maelyn, who’s life seems to be falling apart. Her love life is destroyed, her job is boring, and she’s living with her parents. But worst of all, she just spent her last Christmas in her second home – a cabin in Utah, where she’s spent every Christmas since she was born. While unhappily driving away after the holiday, disaster strikes and she’s in a car accident. But she doesn’t die – she wakes up on a plane bound for Utah to celebrate the holiday season. The one that just happened. Disaster after disaster, she finds herself back on the plane. But in the end, will she settle down and be happy? Perhaps with her true love? This is not a typical time-travel spiral that will feel repetitive and never-ending. You’ll want to keep reading Mae’s story to find out how it eventually does end, and when it does, you’ll feel evermore good about love and Christmas.

One Day in December by Josie Silver

One snowy December day on the bus, Laurie sees a man out of the window and instantly know something – he’s her true love. Unfortunately, the bus drives away and she’s left spending the next year searching bus stops and coffee shops in search of her beloved. She finally finds him one day when she wasn’t even looking. While this would usually be a good thing, the way she meets him is…also unfortunate. She is introduced to him by her best friend, Sarah, as Sarah’s new boyfriend. While sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and sometimes frustrating (in a good way, I promise), One Day in December is a heartwarming and full of love book that will make you believe in true and everlasting love.
